Raven’s Pack

Raven’s Pack is a weekly off-leash adventure experience designed for dogs to be dogs, for them to experience meaning and purpose in their lives, and to explore Oregon’s most beautiful and wild places together.

Raven has been the pack leader of Wild Pup Adventures for 10 years. She leads the group at the front, teaches, mentors, and keeps everyone safe. As Raven gets older, Toby wants to make sure she has a pack option that offers her an easier day, an adventure for pure joy, and not for the high mileage our other, Wilder Pack achieves. Any dog whose ideal day includes moderate adventures with their best friends will love this pack!

Who Leads the Pack?

This pack is led by Raven, WPA’s Canine Pack Leader for 10 years as well as Portland’s most experienced human Pack Leader, the Owner of Wild Pup Adventures. Read more about Toby Joy, to get to know her better.

What an adventures include (depending on your membership level):

  1. A 6 hour weekly adventure with the same group of friends each week

  2. Large photo and video albums of each adventure

  3. Optional downloads of media

  4. Social Media posts

  5. Video adventure summaries to let you know what happened each day

  6. Boarding at the Wild Pup House

  7. Up to 6 Adventure Credits per year to make up for weeks your dog may miss

Cost:

Club Membership starts at $99 per week

Includes all the premium services as adventures in Wilder Packs. (Learn more on the main Adventures Page.)

Mileage Per Adventure Day:

3-6 human miles per adventure day which means the dogs can go the same or up to a couple miles more.

(dogs can go even more if they wish, circling, running back and forth, running and playing with friends.)

    What’s better than having a dog who is snoozing peacefully while you get chores or work done. You don’t need to worry about meeting their needs, it’s already done. Knowing your dog is fulfilled emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically is a wonderful feeling.

    We use an app for all invoicing, scheduling and communication. Toby is honest and straight-forward about everything she observes. Each client also has access to our Client Handbook as well as numerous videos on social media on topics of interest to Pet Parents.

About Their Adventure Club

    Friendships

    Our Wild Pups are in the same pack each week. They get to know their friends very well. Safe, structured socialization with compatible peers helps dogs learn communication, manners, and confidence. As sentient, social beings, long-term friendships are important to dogs, something often overlooked in our society.

    Unmatched Exercise

    There is nothing like off-leash adventures with dog friends. We let them act like dogs- they do zoomies, tug sticks with friends, explore the forests while hiking. Not only will your dog come home intellectually and socially satisfied, they’ll be tired and physically fulfilled.

    Being Free

    Off-leash exploration in secure, natural settings allows dogs to express natural instincts safely. Dogs get to do what they want to do. Wild Pups experience a kind of joy and freedom they don’t find in many other settings like an indoor dog daycares.

    Learning New Skills

    Wild Pups learn a wide range of outdoor skills that keep them safe on the trail and make life at home easier, too. Commands like “Stop!”, “Stay with me!”, and “This way!” become second nature. Dogs also practice stepping off-trail when needed and quickly grow into confident, reliable off-leash pros.

    Exploring Nature

    Each adventure allows dogs to play, explore, and express their natural instincts while safely socializing and practicing pack etiquette. Mossy forest trails, sandy riverbanks, and snow-dusted mountains. Swimming alongside kayaks or sprinting beside a dirt bike. Off-leash exploration in wide-open spaces.

    Overcoming new challenges boosts self-esteem and independence. Confidence grows with freedom. Dogs, when doing what they are born to do, acting naturally, leads to more secure personalities. This increases happiness tenfold. It also leads to healthier relationships with other dogs.
